January 3, 2013 | By HPAC Magazine

Boshart Industries of Milverton, ON and Sacramento, CA, has completed the acquisition of Flomatic Corporation from Watts Water Technologies, Inc., in North Andover, MA. The sale excludes the backflow product line of Flomatic Corporation, which was retained by Watts. Glens Falls, NY-based Flomatic Corporation has been manufacturing valve products for over 80 years and specializes in check, foot, gate, butterfly and automatic control valves for the water well industry. Flomatic is and ISO 9001 and 14001 certified company with manufacturing processes with ARRA compliant and lead free products. Boshart, which was founded in 1955, is a manufacturer and master distributor serving the North American plumbing, water well, sump and sewage, irrigation, industrial, and pool and spa wholesale markets. “This acquisition will only strengthen both companies as we both share the same vision and commitment to excellence,” said Gary Boshart, owner of Boshart Industries. No changes are anticipated in the management of either company’s operations. Watts Water had acquired Flomatic in April 2011 as part of its takeover of Danfoss Socla S.A.S.
