NECB 2017, Section of NBC 2015 in effect for Saskatchewan

The 2017 edition of the National Energy Code for Buildings and Section 9.36 of the National Building Code 2015 are in effect for Saskatchewan.

The requirements for NECB 2017 and Section 9.36 apply to any building permits issued on or after January 1, 2019.

Section 9.36 prescribed energy efficiency requirements for housing and small buildings, including air tightness and thermal insulation for the building envelope, as well as minimum efficiency requirements for HVAC and service water heating equipment.
