Donation includes funding for Canada's Water First charity supporting their Drinking Water Internship Program that supports young Indigenous interns to become certified water treatment plant operators.

In recognition of World Water Day (March 22), IPEX has made a donation of $50,000 to two prominent water charities in North America, Canadian-based Water First and U.S.-based DigDeep.

World Water Day encourages action to support the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals on water and sanitation and to raise awareness of the 2.2 billion people worldwide living without access to safe water.

The company is collaborating with Water First’s Drinking Water Internship Program with a donation of $25,000 that will support young Indigenous interns to become certified water treatment plant operators.

And it is joining forces with DigDeep’s World Water Day campaign, by donating $25,000 that will contribute to the improvement of water infrastructure and access to water in U.S. communities.

“We are honoured to partner with Water First and DigDeep, to not only raise awareness on a day like today, but also to create meaningful difference for a prosperous tomorrow,” said Alex Mestres, CEO, Aliaxis Americas, parent company of IPEX, in a company release.
