ASHRAE’s new platform www.ashraexchange.org allows for live discussion about design, construction, operation and support of the built environment. The platform was created to facilitate the open exchange of information between ASHRAE members and non-members, said Spencer Morasch, incoming chairman of ASHRAE’s electronic communications committee. “The information exchange is informal and takes place in real time. So if you have a question at 3 a.m. on a Tuesday night, you can post that on the ASHRAExCHANGE, and chances are, have a reply posted back to you within 24 hours,” he said. Launched at ASHRAE’s annual conference in late June, Morasch hopes the online platform will generate plenty of discussions, thoughts and comments from many knowledgeable people in the industry.
