CEU Credits available for ASPE members at CIPHEX West, ASPE to hold inaugural Toronto Chapter meeting
July 30, 2014
Produced by the Canadian Institute of Plumbing and Heating (CIPH), Western Canada’s largest plumbing and HVAC/R event will take place on November 5 and 6 in Calgary, AB. The two-day trade show will host more than 200 exhibitors and includes a hydronics conference featuring HPAC columnists, Robert Bean and John Siegenthaler, as well as Dan Holohan. Sessions will provide the technical information contractors, wholesalers and engineers need to specify, install and maintain hydronic systems, give expert insights into future trends in modern hot water heating and practical solutions to increase hydronic sales. Most of the hydronics workshops have a nominal admission fee – complete details are available on the CIPHEX West website.
Six sessions in the seminar and workshop program will offer American Society of Plumbing Engineers (ASPE) continuing education units (CEU) for ASPE members. These include both of John Siegenthaler’s presentations, along with Water Disinfection, Aaron Biffert; Building Science, Robert Bean; What Canadians Can Expect From LEED v4, Adam Stoker; and Mould Remediation: Review of Guidelines and the Evidence, Mona Shum.
The exhibit hall will showcase displays from manufacturers of plumbing, hydronics, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, geothermal heating, solar/hydronic combi-systems, fire protection, industrial pipe, valve and fittings, luxury bath and kitchen, as well as water treatment products from Canada, the U.S. and overseas.
Other features at CIPHEX West are the Hydronics Alley – a special section of the exhibit hall for hydronic heating systems; co-location with Buildex Calgary, which attracts professionals involved in design, build or management of buildings; and the New Product Gallery.
EDITOR’S NOTE: ASPE will be holding its inaugural Toronto Chapter meeting on September 10, 2014. Individuals who have an interest in plumbing engineering, plumbing products, system design, and plumbing regulations sre invited. RSVP here.
