Renowned Energy Expert To Address HVAC/R Educators

The 2012 industry-wide HVACR & Mechanical Conference for Education Professionals, scheduled for March 12 – 14 at the Cheyenne Mountain Resort in Colorado Springs, CO, will provide educator created learning experiences for HVAC/R and mechanical contracting instructors along with other industry professionals from across North America. The keynote speaker for the conference is the internationally renowned Rajan Rajendran. He is the vice president of engineering services and sustainability at Emerson Climate Technologies in Sidney, OH. Dr. Rajendran will focus on how minimizing a system’s life cycle impact on the environment should be the goal in narrowing the options among new lower GWP refrigerant candidates. He will discuss the pros and cons of the refrigerants being considered in the industry today and how these choices can affect the direct emissions and energy consumption of your equipment. Major trade associations including ACCA, AHRI, AMCA, ASHRAE, HARDI, HRAI, IAQA, IHACI, NAFA, NATE, OESP, PHCC and RSES are partnering to support and deliver this newly named Conference for Education Professionals, formerly known as the Instructor Workshop. In addition to the partners, professional education organizations such as ACTE, CARE and SkillsUSA have joined in to provide the latest in workforce and professional development training.
