Start your engines for the BC Ride for Habitat

June 20, 2012 | By HPAC Magazine

After two successful rides in Ontario and a third annual ride taking place on July 21, 2012, the “Ride for Habitat” is coming to the West Coast. The BC ride will be held on August 24, 2012. All funds raised through the Ride will support Habitat for Humanity Canada. The Ride for Habitat was established to raise awareness of the charity, as well as to raise funds to help build Habitat homes in Canada. The 2011 Ontario Ride for Habitat had just over 50 riders and raised almost $11 000. The West Coast Ride will start at the Habitat for Humanity Greater Vancouver ReStore in Burnaby and ride the scenic “Sea to Sky” highway to finish at the Bartle & Gibson Ltd. branch in Whistler. The West Coast Ride for Habitat is organized by Habitat for Humanity Canada and the Greater Vancouver affiliate, with support from volunteers from Canadian Institute of Plumbing & Heating (CIPH) in British Columbia.
