May 21, 2014 | By HPAC Magazine

Wolseley Canada employees recently laced up their skates and hit the ice for the 7th Annual Wolseley Hockey Tournament in Etobicoke, ON, with all event proceeds going to Special Olympics (SO). More than $4,500 was raised for SO Ontario. Wolseley’s Plumbing branch in Kitchener, ON raised $500, the largest amount by a single branch.

The four participating hockey teams were sponsored by Wolseley vendors, including Stelpro, Electro Air, AMTS Limited, Goodman and APPS Transport. The final game for the Wolseley Cup came down to a battle between Team Stelpro and Team A.M.T.S. In an exciting matchup that resulted in a 3-3 tie game after regulation play, Team Stelpro emerged the victor, scoring the winning goal in a shootout.

Special Olympics is a non-profit organization dedicated to enriching the lives of Canadians with an intellectual disability through sport.
