Wilo will consolidate its Thomasville, GA facilities into existing Cedarburg, WI locations.

The company said in a statement that the decision was based on “current market conditions” and bolstering efficiencies.

Jeff Plaster, CEO and managing director of Wilo USA LLC, and Daniel Podgorny, chief financial officer, made the announcement in Thomasville.

“The consolidation process is underway, and is targeting completion by the end of Q3/2019,” Plaster said.

Plans include integrating all machining, product lines and operations from Thomasville into Cedarburg. Thomasville employees will also be reassigned or transferred.

Wilo stated it plans to retain “certain positions” at Thomasville, which will become a centre of excellence.

The decision comes on the heels of the company’s 2017 acquisitions of Weil Pump and Scot Pump. www.wilo-usa.com
