Jaga introduces Astra Beam

May 8, 2024 | By HPAC Magazine

The independently active chilled beam system circulates air through a high-capacity hydronic coil.

Jaga Climate Systems’ new Astra Beam is a non-ducted fan coil that can harness the power of chilled water to extract heat from indoor air.

Equipped with a 24VDC tangential fan, it circulates air through a high-capacity hydronic coil.

The Astra Beam can deliver up to 1.5 tons of cooling using 43F entering chilled water, achieving heating and cooling efficiency.

It operates on 54 watts of 24VDC power, translating to an efficiency of .08 watts per CFM.

Its integrated condensate tray manages condensation, ensuring a dry and comfortable space.

Designed with 24VDC fan motors, the Astra Beam requires no line voltage electrical connections, simplifying its installation and use.

Unlike a traditional horizontal fan coil that requires a large access panel, the Astra Beam features a single grille that handles the supply and return air while also providing all access to the fan coil.

The design cuts down on materials and simplifies installation, making it the perfect fit for various settings, including offices, educational institutions and residential environments.

Its quiet operation and low maintenance demands make it a sustainable, energy-efficient solution to indoor climate control.

Coupled with radiant floor heating, the Astra Beam is there to to provide total cooling while the floor cannot.
