HRAI to tackle low-carbon economy challenges at symposium

The challenges and opportunities presented by Canada’s transition to a low-carbon economy is the focus of an upcoming Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Institute (HRAI) symposium.

Designed for HVAC/R industry stakeholders, the symposium will include a series of presentations and networking opportunities.

Attendees will also take part in a “walk-through” of the award-winning net-zero Joyce Centre for Partnership and Innovation building at Mohawk College in Hamilton, ON, where the event will be held.

David Miller, North American director of the C40 Cities Climate Leadership Group will host a presentation on urban challenges and solutions.

Joyce Henry, director general at the NRCan Office of Energy Efficiency, will lead a talk titled “Laying the foundation for a low carbon economy through energy efficiency policy.”

Lastly, Alice Rosenberg, senior program manager at the Consortium for Energy Efficiency, will discuss the evolving dynamics and objectives of the “energy efficiency program landscape.”
