HVAC career fair

The first annual event in 2017 had over 200 HVAC/R students participate.

Humber College’s second annual HVAC career fair will allow businesses to promote their organization and career options while getting to know students on an informal basis. Businesses will also be able to collect resumes.

Students and soon-to-be graduates are from the college’s HVAC/R Technician and Technology programs, as well as the Sustainable Energy and Building Technology programs.

Humber’s School of Applied Technology and its Academic and Career Success Centre organize the fair. It will take place on March 14, 2018, from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Learning Resource Common at Humber North Campus (205 Humber College Boulevard, Toronto, ON).

Employers are invited to bring business cards, brochures and tabletop or portable displays. A draped table will be provided to each employer.

Humber’s HVAC/R Technician and Technology Diploma trains students on installation and service techniques for heating and air conditioning systems in residential and small commercial buildings.

Courses include HVAC Controls, refrigeration, engineering practices, technical mathematics, advanced piping systems, oil code, mechanical ventilation, HVAC software applications, combo-commissioning and more.

Humber’s Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Technology advanced diploma program provides training on energy systems used for commercial and industrial complexes.
