Mary Walsh delivering keynote at CIPH 90th Anniversary Conference

The 2023 CIPH Annual Business Conference is being held in St. John’s, Newfoundland from June 18th - 20th.

The Canadian Institute of Plumbing & Heating (CIPH) will be welcoming over 300 delegates and companions from across Canada and the U.S. to celebrate the association’s 90th anniversary during its 2023 Annual Business Conference being held at the Delta, St. John’s in St. John’s, Newfoundland from June 18th – 20th.

This year’s conference theme is “Rock Solid After 90 Years”, and among the presentations will be keynote speaker Mary Walsh, best known for her award-winning work on This Hour Has 22 Minutes.

Walsh created many iconic characters during her years on the show, including the warrior princess Marg Delahunty, donut shop correspondent Connie Bloor, and attendees at the CIPH Conference can expect a visit from Mrs. Eulalia.

Other scheduled speakers at the conference will include:

  • Janice Gross Stein, founding director of the Munk School of Global Affairs and Public Policy
  • Brad Gushue, Canadian Olympic Gold Medal Curling Champion
  • Jennifer Ménard-Shand, founder and CEO of Staff Shop, an award-winning diverse staffing firm
  • Mark McCarthy, sharing rock solid stories of Newfoundland
  • Rob LeForte, government relations expert

Founded in Montreal in 1933, the CIPH represents over 280 member companies made up of manufacturers, wholesaler distributors, master distributors, manufacturers’ agents, and allied companies that manufacture and distribute plumbing, heating, hydronic, industrial PVF, waterworks, and other mechanical products.
