PPI launches webinar on design, installation of hydronic snow and ice melting systems

The Plastics Pipe Institute, Inc. (PPI) is hosting a webinar on hydronic snow and ice melting systems, intended for mechanical engineers, designers, contractors, building owners, facility managers and architects.

Held in conjunction with its education partner RedVector, the first webinar took place on August 21, 2018 and will be repeated on September 13, 2018 and October 16, 2018.

Titled “Design and Installation of Hydronic Snow and Ice Melting Systems to Optimize Performance and Efficiency,” the webinar will be presented by Lance MacNevin, director of engineering for PPI’s Building & Construction Division and a contributor to HPAC’s Modern Hydronics supplement.

It will include information on clearing slippery outdoor surfaces over a long winter; liability and improved access; safety, convenience and savings of hydronic SIM systems; and operating costs, among other topics.
