Bonomi acquires fittings manufacturer FRA.BO

Frabo will continue manufacturing in Italy.

Bonomi Group has acquired the company FRA.BO. S.p.A., headquartered in Quinzano d’Oglio, Brescia, Italy.  Celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, FRA.BO is a manufacturer of copper, stainless steel, carbon steel, brass and bronze fittings for plumbing installations. The company’s products are marketed under the Frabo brand.

The Frabo production plant in Bordolano, Italy produces press-fittings, end-feed fittings, compression and threaded fittings.  Sixty million pieces are manufactured annually and exported all over the world. The Frabo catalog includes more than 6000 items.

Frabo fittings are used in water distribution, heating/cooling, gas distribution, steam/high pressure, compressed air, industrial applications and OEM solutions.

“This important acquisition will help the Bonomi Group achieve synergies that will allow us to grow further and be more competitive in the worldwide plumbing and flow control market,” said Aldo Bonomi, president of the Bonomi Group.

BACKGROUND

Bonomi North America has served Canada and the U.S. since 2003 and is part of the Bonomi Group of Lumezzane, Italy. Bonomi Group brands include Rubinetterie Bresciane Bonomi (RB) brass ball valves and check valves; Valpres carbon and stainless steel ball valves; and Valbia pneumatic and electric industrial actuators. Bonomi North America maintains an extensive distribution network for these products from its headquarters in Charlotte, NC.
