U.S. facility management company partners with IFMA Foundation to fund Global Workforce Initiative

July 24, 2018 | By Jillian Morgan

Facility management company ABM has contributed to the IFMA Foundation Global Workforce Initiative, which aims to close the workforce gap in facilities services.

“There is a serious labour shortage on the horizon within the facility management industry,” said IFMA Foundation chair Michael Schley. “Without decisive action this shortage will have serious ramifications.”

The IFMA Foundation aims to increase the number of accredited facilities management degree programs globally.

“We are proud to support IFMA Foundation’s Global Workforce Initiative to cultivate the next generation of FM leaders and secure the future of a profession that contributes to the success of businesses worldwide,” said Scott Giacobbe, chief operating officer at ABM. www.foundation.ifma.org/global-workforce-initiative  www.abm.com
